admin A report on the London Underground in September 2006 stated that the research shows that the secret to a long and happy marriage is indeed a lot of flirting with strangers.
It goes on to say that more than one quarter of long-term relationships, attention and flattery of someone else increases their sex drive, so that they wish their partners more. Around 70 percent admit that flirting makes them feel sexier and more confident. Men are more likely to push the rules with 1 out of 10 say that kissing on the lips is allowed.
They also reported that from their research in the age group 35 to 44 are most likely to flirt – with more than half of the record, that it is a popular hobby. Best magazine, in the Peta Heskell said that the more confident and secure a woman feels, the more they tend to flirt and enjoy their sexuality in a healthy, unthreatening way.
Wow. Some people May read this and say: “I do not need to feel guilty about my flirtation with the oppposite sex more. It is only to strengthen my marriage. ” Most of the people who write things like this know that when the average person hears the magic word “research”, he will be ready on his life and in this case, his relationship to them.
But before you rush out and start the exchange of sexual banter with someone apart from your husband and wife so that you can key in this “secret of a long and happy marriage,” let’s examine what it really means and ask some relevant matters.
1. The first question we must ask is: “Who and how many people they have the research?” Think about it, you know, who filled in their questionnaire or their collection? Make sure that the statistics to mislead. I remember hearing about a statistics report said that 33 percent of female faculty in a particular university had an opinion on a particular topic. On further investigation, it turned out that there were only 3 female professors across the university at the time, and quite rightly 1 of 3 is 33 percent. The world has more than 5 billion people with different cultures and habits. How many people really formed the basis for their research to come to such a radical conclusion?
2. They said that more than one quarter of long-term relationships, that attention and adulation of someone else increases their sex drive. Forget the word “district” and instead think about numbers. This means that only 25 percent of people say that they increase their sex drive. What about the remaining 75 percent?
3. Is there a heightened sexual desire equate to a happy marriage? How many of us have heard of couples who enjoyed great sex and even broke up?
4. 70 percent of people studied, says that flirting makes them feel sexier and more confident. But what impact does it have on their partners? It appears only on how the person feels, but does not say what impact it might have on their other half. Some husbands or wives feel inadequate enough without the added concern that comes from having their spouses flirt with someone else. The “what-if” ghost is likely to pursue them with the idea of “what-if she leaves me for him?” The turn their uncertainties. If one partner is confident and the other is uncertain, there is an imbalance that does not make for a healthy relationship.
5. The entire focus of their research seems to be on sex. But nothing is on the other aspects, the strengthening of relatonship such as communications, wrong attitudes, financial management, and so on. Sex is definitely an important part of marriage and should not be lightly dismissed. However, if other important issues are not given attention, then the marriage as a one-sided building, which has some missing parts of its founding.
6. What was not addressed was whether to do here, this is likely or unlikely to lead to an affair. Most people who have affairs will tell you that there are a lot of flirting and exchanging suggestive innuedos before consumation. Such things lower the barriers between people. This usually leads to people in horse play and more physical contact such as a finger on the lips, a playful blow across the face, and so on. The article acknowledges that some men actually went as far as kissing on the lips. My, my, so my husband kissing another woman on the lips to me really happy, because they go to his sex drive.
7. Something I found that quite interesting is that from their research, the age group most likely to flirt are between 35 to 44 Something that is not generally known, unless you want to study the UK National Statistics is that this age group is the one with the highest annual rates of divorce. And that is on the basis of statistics for the whole country and not a few thousand people. This age group is women who are always unhappy in her marriage as well as the age at mid-life crisis or the seven-year itch for kick-off in men.
There’s a lot more that we saw on this, but I think the 7 points above would suffice. Is flirting with strangers the key to a happy and long marriage? I do not think so. But does that mean we should cut out all together flirt? As a woman and a consultant, I would say that some women would be in flirting, because the spark has died in their marriage and are looking for male approval. And vice versa. If so, try flirting with your spouse and all innuedos and banter that you’ve used with a stranger to them. See how this works.
Why I did this so seriously? Some would say it’s really harmless and not many believe it would anyway. No yes, there are many women who say it is nonsense, but on the back of their minds would be an idea that this “research” proves that it okay for them to do and at the end of their relationship to harm. There are also others who gave their lives for the things they women in magazines and swallow it as gospel truth. For the sake of your marriage, consider information relevant to you and make sure that they really help both you and your spouse and strengthen your marriage in the long term.
